Blogstalkerrazzi’s Weblog

Photos of the day 08/19/2008

I honestly had no idea how I was even going to start with this post. I can honestly say that sometimes I really I’m speechless as is the case today.

First off I am so freaking moved by the generosity of photographers. I have to either incredibly courageous or really stupid. This is how some conversations go. “Hello Mr. or Ms. Photographer, my name is blogstalkerrazzi and I am really a nobody but I have a blog here. Could I borrow a few images………” I mean it is one thing if I work for the WPJA or some photo magazine but nope just a stalkerrazzi…….And each freaking time I am amazed at how they jump on board and send me some blog friendly pics. I am so freaking humbled and moved and I want to say a big THANK YOU!

Our Photographer from Today is THAT generous. He is also not based in the US so for him to jump on board really means a lot to me. Besides that he is in “blogstalkerrazzi’s TOP 5″ He is what I call a hidden talent. I really hope he makes it to next years top 10. His work is so freaking fabulous. As a bride and as blogstalkerrazzi I am incredibly jealous of the fact that his brides have awesome locations. Also the discovery of his blog was very adventurous and true stalkerrazzi style!

Now if I was a photographer I would be double or maybe triple jealous. First off the locations OMG OMG……To have such locations in a portfolio is just amazing. And there seem to be plenty of amazing different unique locations “OVER THERE.” In addition, some of the locations have some challenging light issues but I think he is the type to like a challenge and really shots the heck out of that location. My secret spy network informed me that…….he has met “the holy grail” (“Credit A”) himself. I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then he has a super amazing accent! I mean there are so many reasons for a minute I would want to trade lives with him. But meeting Holy grail is def enough!

Come to think of it I was really upset when the powers that be canceled over there

I could not narrow the images down today. So I decided to post all of them. His work is freaking brilliant!!! And as if that is not enough he has a bazillion slides (YEAH YEAH YEAH we love slides) on his blog! with HUGE PICS!! I am not even kidding. Be prepared to spend a good whole weekend catching up on his blog because you will get addicted. I kid you not! Also he has an amazing portfolio on his website so check that out too. His images will move you! You will find yourself talking to yourself loudly and for those that have “sailor mouths” quite a few bombs will be dropped unwillingly at the shock you will feel. Oh and get this he has an easy feature for us IT Challenged folk for subscribing to his blog! For photographers I am sure you have RSS or other cool stuff so I would highly encourage you to start stalking his blog because he will freaking inspire you!

Our photos from Today are from Mr. David Pullum from the UK. You can find his site here and his blog here

I want to say I am sorry that I am not posting the photographer I wanted to post today.

I have some serious allergies and I am just sleepy and I really want to do his post some justice so I will hopefully have his photos up tomorrow or Wednesday.

So please forgive moi.

I love the next studio because they have some really fun hip pics. I love the #2 photo of boys being silly. I just love it so much when photographers do not miss out on moments like this because it is what sets one wedding apart from another. So today we have Brooks Weddings. You can find more of their work here.

Sorry I could not publish the huge pics in #2 or #3 b/c they wouldn’t fit. Anyone with any IT ideas on how to make them fit without having small pics (my pet peeve). I think small pics really ruin the pics and their fabulosity!

“FRIENDS’ COUNTRYMEN RUSSIANS”  If you are ”reading”  this with an American Accent you are completely off!

COOLEST phrase ever!!!!!!!!!!!  If you know this phrase/line, you are my new best friend.  I LOVE this movie.  It is my second most favorite movie.  It has a kickass Theme that I listen to over and over and over.  Everything about this movie is just perfection.

OK back to the saint, the casting was done so well.  I can’t imagine anyone else as “THE SAINT” other than my #1 boyfriend Val Kilmer.

Ivan Tretiak was just superb.  I honestly have no idea why this movie is not as popular as it should be.  I hope “the powers that be” can come up with a great sequel.

Because I love this movie so much and to continue with the Olympics theme I decided to feature a photographer from Russia.  Did I say I Love this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!  If you haven’t watched it you haven’t lived!!!!!!!!!!!  I wanted to feature my favorite European photographer today but decided to wait until next week.  He is such a treat so you’ll will have to wait until next week.

Today’s photographer is from Russia.  And don’t even ask how I found his site because it will only raise questions like why is blogstalkerrazzi not here .

I think that he is really talented and takes some amazing pictures.  I also believe that a photographer is as good and keeps getting better based on networking, exposure, and relationships build among his peers.  Let’s be honest Russia isn’t that connected so you will see a few cheesy pics on his site.  But I still think he is a force to be reckoned with considering that he probably has little to no networks.  Make no mistake, this guy has talent and “an eye” and is consistent and does not do the pose smile and shoot type of pics.  Besides I try not to judge a lot of photographers based on their websites since a lot don’t update regularly.

Pic number 1 is actually quite stunning.  I honestly have no idea how he was able to focus on the bride and groom and “the Jesus” looking picture.  It’s just a very interesting image and the angle WOW!

I would actually love to know what you all think of his work.

Since I cant even spell his name, we shall credit “Vayman foto”.  You can find more pics here

I am so behind on everything including blog stalking.  Well Today is thursday wooo hoo.  I get to see my boyfriend .  I know you saw that coming! I am so excited!

Guess what I chose?

Yup!

Anyway, I love today’s photographer and he has some really really really cool images.  So today I decided to post my favorite.  The are so AWWWWWWWW type of pics.  You could be the Grinch or scrooge but dang gone they will melt your heart.  This is wedding photojournalism at it’s best.  It’s why we hire good photographers.  To capture those sweet innocent cute moments that traditional photography frowned upon.

So these pics are from Paul Johnson.  You can find his blog here

Day one without the DF was actually tougher than I thought it would be.  I miss him like crazy .  And the sappy movies don’t make it any easier.  Then I have been having an issue with my venue again.  This time it is about cake.  Can’t a woman just get a simple butter cream cake decorated with real flowers?  No they are trying to make order this ginormous cake with  chocolate flowers, berries and then some more stuff.  I am sorry but anyone that knows me this week has had to listen to the tale of “the damn cake.”  So you blogstalkerrazzis’ are no exception.

Well todays photos come from a studio that I love.  The have a very good sense of color and their stories are just superb!  Again I really could not decide so I ended up with four images.

They have some of the most amazing dress shots too.  Dresses have to the hardest thing to photograph and still come up with exciting different images but this team has AMAZING shots.  Whether they are shooting at an exotic DW or a wedding in CA, one can really tell through their images that they are very passionate about their work and are truly inspired by the clients and locations.  I feel so many warm fuzzies when I visit their blog.

So our studio today is Hy Studio and you can find more of their work on their blog

I am a hopeless romantic.  I love fairy tales, chic flicks and the cheesy romantic novels.  I can read one after another without pause.  Sometimes I even do it at the “RJ” gasp ha ha ha

The wonderful DF has left for a three week business trip.  I will miss him terribly but I can’t hide the fact that I am a little happy over the girlie me time.  I have a gazillion novels waiting to be read.  So many chic flicks queued on netflix (Starting with PS I LOVE YOU!).  Spa days, the list is endless.  I get to be a girlie gal for three whole weeks without interruption of “honey where are my socks.”  I can’t tell you how irritating it is to be reading a very juicy part only to be interrupted by a socks question.  I actually think there is conspiracy behind this.  I never get that question when I am lets say watching (eye roll) sports center or when I am folding the laundry.  No it is only when I am indulging in something I love to do/watch do I get the freaking socks or Keys question.

So today’s photo of the day is shot by the super talented Christian Oth.  This image is so classic I am sure the whole world has seen it by now.  If not I revert to you had better be in Uzbec!  His style is very romantic and I would actually say very fairy tale like.  You get lost emotionally looking at his pics.  You can look at his portfolio here.

I took a day off from work to relax and as usual I ended up running around all day.  So I am so exhausted I just want a glass of wine and some TV…..So this will be brief

Brides spend a lot of time and money planning because as we know details are super important.  This is  because details are what normally set one wedding apart from another.  Details are also very important because they are a part of the story and are a  reflection of a couples personality.  They also assist in capturing the emotions of the couples and their guests and also hopefully inspire the photographer to document that wedding and tell a story that accurately reflects the day and various personalities.  Really lets be honest they are a good reason why we all love weddings and what makes weddings more interesting!

The next bad! photographer takes the most amazing detail shots/pics.  She also has amazing pics but for today I will focus on her detail pics.

Leigh Miller is also an inspiration because she is a fairly new photographer that just rose to the top with her amazing pics.  She is very detail oriented, has a killer eye and her images are very very elegant and chic.  Her blog can be found here.

Well today is supposed to be a really “lucky” day.  Well the day did not start with a bang for me but it is getting better.  I am hoping to end with day with a bang! for me that usually means cuddling with the DF while watching monk sipping on some wine.  Now for those that know my dear DF realize that he must really love me because there is no other character the irritates the heck out of him than Monk ha ha ha yet he sits there patiently acting like he is really enjoying the show but he is only there for moi.

I absolutely love diversity and I can’t imagine how boring the world would be if we were all the same, if we all had similar traditions and cultures.

In honor of  the opening ceremonies for the world Olympics, I will be featuring an amazing studio that is non US based.  They are a force to be reckoned with.  Their images are very very cool and very classic.  I am a vintage girl at heart and they have the most amazing vintage actions EVER!  They are the MASTERS when it comes to vintage actions and that is what sets their studio apart.  Their images are diffrent and unique and not the norm.  Note: Be prepared to spend at least 4 hours on their blog uuhhing and aaahhhing at the cool images they have

I could not narrow the images down so I choose three images.  They are based in Canada.  To our first international photographers, introducing Read Leaf Studios.  They have an amazing portfolio.  Their blog can be found here.

I am so excited to watch the 2008 OLYMPICS.  Hopefully we can all enjoy in celebrating occassions like this where we forget our beef with each other and come together as one.

HAPPY OLYMPICS and Yeah to TEAM USA!!!

WOW what a day! better yet what a week.

I am swamped so again this will be brief.

I have a few obsessions’. One, I am absolutely crazy about chapel weddings. If we are on a road trip or in unfamiliar territory I am constantly looking for a small chapel so that I can utter “that would be so cool for a wedding.” I think there is something so romantic and intimate about getting married in a chapel. And you guessed it. This stalkerrazzi is getting married in a chapel “hopefully” if the venue stops acting up!

I absolutely love this pic….It is so romantic…..that chapel is really amazing. It was taken by F8 studios. Not sure if it was the master “Huy Nguyen” himself or one of the studio photographers. So I am crediting the studio. If you haven’t checked out their blog, you are truly missing out. It can be found here

Well follow up on my venue.  I am a bit rational today so I will not be thinking about how to destroy them today.

Since I am at the “RJ”, I really have to make this post short and quick.

Next we have a photographer that I really admire and takes some super amazing pics.  His black and whites will melt anyone’s heart.

This pic below is one of my favorites because of how laid back and casual the shoot is but at the same time amazing light, compositions and what we all think of when we think of a “southern wedding”  He documents weddings very well by making them feel very intimate and at the same time very romantic.

Introducing Mr. Climie  You can find more of his work here
